BALDWIN HOUSE dates from 1782, originally the home of Thomas Baldwin, great grandfather to Sir Stanley Baldwin (British Prime Minister between the great wars). A ballroom and drawing room were added to the original house during the 1800's. It was sympathetically converted into a Guest House during the 1980's.
Many original features can still be found, including the original Ballroom ceiling and balconies, the magnificent Drawing Room, original staircase as well as many architectural arches, marble fireplaces and Victorian tiled floors.
